50 Cent Offers to Bail Out the Man Accused of Attacking Rick Ross' Son
50 Cent took his long-running feud with Rick Ross to a new low, offering to bail out the man charged with pistol-whipping Ross' 21-year-old son in Daytona Beach.
Some beefs cool off with time. This one keeps finding new ways to get uglier. According to NBC 6 Miami, Rick Ross' son, William Roberts III, was approached by a man named Don Roberts — no relation — while standing with a woman on a sidewalk near Bethune-Cookman University in Daytona Beach. The young man is enrolled there and plays football. Police say the suspect struck him in the face with a gun during the Oct. 11 confrontation. He was too shaken to call police until the next day, then later picked the suspect out of a photo lineup. Don Roberts turned himself in on Oct. 16 and pleaded not guilty to felony aggravated assault and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
That's where 50 Cent decided to step in. On Instagram Tuesday, he shared the suspect's arrest file and said he'd send his attorney, Drew Findling, to get the man out — even working in a plug for his new Street Fighter movie. The two have been going at it since 2008, but plenty of folks feel this one crossed a line. The young man's mother, Tia Kemp, called 50 out for making jokes about her son's assault instead of treating it seriously. Grown folks can trade shots all day, but when the kids get pulled in, it stops being entertainment. The suspect's bail hearing is set for Wednesday, Oct. 21.
