Six-time Grammy nominee. Thirty years of grown-folks R&B. And now — for the first time in eight years — Tamia has a brand-new solo single.
"Forever and a Day" arrived in late August on her own Plus One Music Group, and it's already doing what Tamia records do: it debuted at No. 22 on Billboard's Adult R&B Airplay chart, marking her first chart entry in nearly a decade.
For this one, she went back to family. The song was written and produced with Claude Kelly and Chuck Harmony — together known as Louis York — the same duo behind her Grammy-nominated "Beautiful Surprise" title track, the fan favorite "Lipstick," and "It's Not Fair." It's a classic slow jam: floating keyboards, light percussion, and that voice singing about a love that still feels exciting as day one. Passion, friendship, emotional safety — and a promise to stay.
Tamia said it best herself when she announced it: "After 30 years of making music, I still love writing about relationships and love."
The comeback run is real. This August she completed a sold-out South African tour — two shows in Cape Town plus Durban and Pretoria — and she spent 2024 co-headlining a 27-date North American tour with Joe. Eight years since Passion Like Fire, she's back where she belongs: on your radio.
We heard it first on Red Cup R&B Radio — Tamia's "Forever and a Day," streaming now. Go run it up.
