First Look: Fantasia and Tank Keep the Faith in Tyler Perry's "The Gospel of Christmas"

What makes this one worth circling on the calendar is the music. Alongside Fantasia and Tank, the cast reads like a Sunday morning dream lineup: Shirley Caesar, Fred Hammond, The Clark Sisters, Yolanda Adams, Smokie Norful, Hezekiah Walker, Ann Nesby, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, and Je'Kalyn Carr. Folks have been talking about this movie for a while, ever since clips of Fantasia singing on set made their way around social media. Now we're finally getting a proper look at what Perry has been building.

For a lot of us, R&B and gospel grew up in the same house. You can hear the choir loft in Fantasia's voice and in every note Tank holds a little longer than he needs to. Seeing them step into a story about faith feels right on time for the season. Netflix hasn't locked in a premiere date yet, but expect it to arrive in time for the holidays.
