Chris Brown & Usher Pull Four Dates as Brown's London Sentencing Nears

If you've been counting down to seeing Usher and Chris Brown share a stage this fall, the plan just changed. The two have canceled four shows from The R&B Tour as Brown heads back to London for his sentencing. Back in July, Brown pleaded guilty to affray over a 2023 incident at a London nightclub, and the more serious charges, including assault and attempted grievous bodily harm, were dropped. Affray in the UK can carry up to three years in prison, and Brown is scheduled to be sentenced on October 26 at Southwark Crown Court.

The timing was always going to be tight. His bail terms let him leave the UK, but he has to be back in the country on October 25, the day before sentencing. Brown's first Atlanta show is only 12 days after that court date, and depending on what the judge decides, as many as 12 tour dates could be affected, including stops in Atlanta, Inglewood, New Orleans, Houston, Miami Gardens and Tampa. For us here at home, Houston's show is set for November 24. If you're holding tickets, keep an eye on your email and your ticket app over the next few weeks.

However you feel about Chris Brown, there's no denying this tour has been a big moment for R&B, with 33 stadium dates that kicked off June 26 in Denver. Whether the rest of the run plays out as planned now comes down to a courtroom in London. Until then, the music doesn't stop over here. Listen live at redcuprnb.com.
