B2K Locks In Eclipse for Nov. 6 — First Album in 23 Years, New Single "Lil Freak" Out Now
They thought they knew what B2K was. Omarion, J-Boog, Raz-B and Lil Fizz return with Eclipse, their first album in 23 years, arriving November 6. The comeback pairs the slow-burn single "Mileage" — Top 25 at radio and up
B2K has a date for its next chapter. Omarion, J Boog, Raz B and Lil Fizz will release Eclipse on November 6 through BPC Music Group, bringing fans their first new album in more than two decades. For those who grew up with “Gots Ta Be,” “Girlfriend” and “Bump, Bump, Bump,” there is plenty of history attached to this return. Now the question is what the four have to say together after all that time. (ratedrnb.com)
The rollout started in July with “Mileage,” a smoother introduction to the group’s grown sound. Produced by Ethos and cowritten by Ant Clemons, the song deals with making room for love without letting old relationships get in the way. Their latest single, “Lil Freak,” changes the pace with an Atlanta bass influenced groove built for movement. Omarion leads the hook, while Lil Fizz closes with a rap verse, giving listeners another side of what Eclipse could offer. (ratedrnb.com, ratedrnb.com, ratingsgamemusic.com)
The group has described being back in the studio together as something special, and that connection is what makes this album worth watching. The familiar voices will bring people through the door. The new music gets the chance to keep them there. November 6 will tell us how this chapter comes together. Until then, check out “Mileage” and “Lil Freak,” and let us know if B2K is back in your rotation.
