Artist Alert: Meet CREDLE, the Queens Artist Building His Own Lane

Sometimes the introduction comes straight to the inbox. New York artist CREDLE recently reached out to RED CUP and RNB to share his music, and we went looking into the story behind the name. Born and raised in South Jamaica, Queens, he’s a songwriter, recording artist and founder of Credle Entertainment. His official bio describes a musical approach that brings R&B and soul together with hip-hop, house and Afro-pop—a broad foundation for an artist making his own way. (credleentertainment.com)

His catalog gives listeners a few places to begin. There’s his 2022 album Tales of the Sad & Lonely, along with records including “The Chase,” “You Don’t Call” and “Mystery Wife.” His 2026 releases include “Found The Light” and “Dream Chaser,” featuring Jay Karnell, which is listed as part of the Finding Jazz original soundtrack. For anyone just meeting him, there’s a body of work to explore beyond a single submission. (music.apple.com)

CREDLE has also taken his work beyond audio releases. In a 2024 appearance on the Feed The DJ Podcast, he joined MoonSky and director AB of Moonlight Media to discuss the making of their “Wxlf Pack” short-film music video. It’s another part of his story: developing the visuals and collaborating with other creatives to bring a record to the screen. (music.amazon.es)

Here at RED CUP and RNB, we want to leave room for introductions like this. Get familiar with CREDLE, explore his catalog and follow him on Instagram at @iam.credle. Then keep the music close and listen live at redcuprnb.com.
